The Moving Beyond Pain approach has been shown to help a wide range of conditions—particularly those related to chronic pain, stress-related symptoms, and nervous system dysregulation. This includes diagnoses commonly referred to as TMS (Tension Myoneural Syndrome) or neuroplastic pain.
While I’m careful about making promises of full recovery, many clients find that as their nervous system settles and their relationship to pain shifts, they experience greater relief, resilience, and a renewed sense of possibility. This approach helps reduce the fear, stress, and emotional tension that can intensify symptoms, offering a pathway toward more freedom and ease.
Important to Note:
Some symptoms may be caused by underlying structural, autoimmune, or organic conditions that require medical attention. The Moving Beyond Pain approach is not intended to treat:
Pain related to cancer
Autoimmune disease
Clearly diagnosed nerve injuries
Some advanced arthritic conditions
While this approach may not be the right fit for treating these medical conditions directly, individuals living with them can still benefit from Psychotherapy and Depth Enquiry as forms of emotional and psychological support. These therapies can help you navigate the challenges of living with ongoing symptoms, reduce emotional distress, and foster a greater sense of resilience and inner resource.
Before starting this approach, it’s important to speak with your doctor to rule out serious medical conditions. Ask whether it’s safe to explore emotional or therapy-based treatment alongside your medical care.

If you're beginning the Moving Beyond Pain approach with me, it's important that we take time to explore your medical history, previous diagnoses, and treatments. This helps us rule out any serious underlying conditions before moving forward with this work.
Before our first session, I’ll send you an intake form to complete at your own pace. What you choose to share is entirely up to you, but having a fuller picture allows us to better understand your experience and assess whether this approach is likely to support your healing and recovery.
